Toshiba further diversifies its ultra-mobile laptop range
The 11.6'' Satellite T110 and the 13.3'' Satellite T130 offer long battery life, high performance and a sleek design
Neuss, Germany, 29th September 2009 – Toshiba Computer Systems, a division of Toshiba Europe GmbH, today unveiled two new ultra-slim additions to its ultra-portable product range. The Satellite T110 and the Satellite T130 are just 24.9 mm and 22.2 mm thin respectively and boast a weight of less than 1.8 kg1. The two new models are targeted at modern, style conscious consumers who not only desire ultra-portability and fashonable design, but also demand high performance and long battery life. Both models will also be available in Satellite Pro versions for those professionals who demand ultra portability paired with higher performance than offered by netbooks. The new devices will be available during 4th quarter 2009 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Full range of ultra-portable laptops
"Many customers now value high portability, and so we’re broadening their choice, with the addition of these two new ultra-portable yet affordable models to our range," says Thomas Teckentrup, General Manager, Toshiba Computer Systems Division Europe. "The new ultra-slim laptops bridge the gap between netbooks, which are optimised for content consumption and full performance ultra-mobile laptops." Toshiba's ultra-portable product range now spans the 10.1'' (25.7 cm) NB200 mini-notebook, the new 11.6'' (29.5 cm) Satellite T110 and the 13.3'' (33.8 cm) Satellite T130, and the recently unveiled 13.3'' (33.8 cm) Satellite U500, a fully performing yet highly portable laptop. The new Satellite T-series models both offer increased performance over netbooks and are suited to multitasking and content creation.
Long battery lifetime for ultra-portability
Despite its compact design the Satellite T110 offers a full working day’s use on one battery charge, with up to 9 hours of usage time. The Satellite T130 runs even longer without having to recharge the 6 cell battery - up to 11 hours, or nearly 1.5 working days.
Fashionable design
The Satellite T110 and the T130 will be available in Precious Black and Iron Red Metallic with patterned finish. The Satellite T130 is also available in a patterned Luxe White Pearl version. Designed to be stylish both inside and out, the colour on the cover is also repeated inside the laptop, around the keyboard and the display. The business-focused Satellite Pro T110 and Satellite Pro T130 will only be available in patterned Precious Black.
Easy to use and highly productive
Both new devices will be equipped with a Touch Pad with Multi-Touch Control, to facilitate scrolling, while the full-size keyboard makes typing easy. Toshiba ConfigFree™ also simplifies network configuration and online access.
The right power for the job1
The laptops offer a broad range of connectivity features such as Fast Ethernet, embedded WLAN (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n) with a Diversity Antenna and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. Furthermore they are ready for Mobile Broadband integration, with download rates up to 7.2 Mbit/s. In addition, the Satellite T110 and Satellite T130 provide a 5-in-1 bridge media adapter and three USB 2.0 ports. An integrated 3D impact sensor protects data stored on the HDD (up to 500 GB) in case of a drop or shock.
The 13.3” Satellite T130 and 11.6” Satellite T110 are both equipped with LED backlit displays providing a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
The Satellite T130 is powered by either an Intel® Pentium®, Intel® Single Core or Intel® Celeron Single Core ultra-low-voltage processor. The Satellite T110 is powered by an Intel® Pentium® or an Intel® Celeron Single Core™ ultra-low-voltage processor. Microsoft Windows® 7 Home Edition is the supplied operating system, while the Satellite Pro versions come with Windows® 7 Professional Edition.
